Here’s what Leanne had to say about Chisel Fitness
I worked with Chris for six months having done next to no exercise for around six years but determined to get fit. I had not had a personal trainer before and was unsure what to expect.
What I got was an extremely professional and motivating course of training that Chris geared to my precise needs. He has a strong knowledge not only of techniques to improve fitness and strength, but the detailed science and physiology underpinning overall fitness and health. The result was an effective and carefully crafted training programme and a really inspiring six months that was also from start to finish a lot of fun.
At the end of the training I was much fitter, had lost weight, was on a much better diet and had a lot more energy. I only stopped training with Chris when he left London to move back to Australia and am already trying to persuade him to open Chisel Fitness here in the UK.
Chris makes the sessions really fun and enjoyable. I don’t like going to gyms so it is nice to train outside and by the end of the sessions I feel like I have had a real good workout.
I started working with Chris about 4 months ago when I found my routine in the gym had become boring and predictable. The first thing he did was rearrange my training to maximise the amount of work I did in the short time that I had. Chris is brilliant at developing strength based workouts that not only help to improve my strength but also aid in burning the unwanted fat around my gut.
I immediately started to see a difference in my physique and I am currently only 3kg away from my target weight. Chris has really helped me to improve my core strength and he continually tailors sessions to be both enjoyable and effective. In the 4 months that Chris has been training me I don’t think we have ever done the same workout twice and I know that I am in the best shape I have been in for years! – Gavin
It was really satisfying to complete a hard session – I knew I had worked really hard and pushed myself further than I ever do on my own. Whenever I thought I was handling an exercise Chris seemed to sense it, and before I knew it the exercise was altered slightly to make it more difficult so that I was constantly pushed to my maximum. Something I definitely struggle to achieve on my own.
My original goal was to lose weight and tone up for a wedding that I was attending in January. When I told Chris about my goal I was expecting him to tell me that I was being unrealistic but instead he informed me that it was possible if I really wanted it.
Along with the fun training sessions, Chris helped me with heaps of great dietary advice and with his constant help I developed a disciplined and enthusiastic approach to exercise and a healthy lifestyle. Had it not been for the wedding I would not have even thought about having (or paying for) a personal trainer, but since training with Chris I can honestly say that I am hooked.
The results have been amazing and right from the beginning he has always given me motivation, encouragement and support.
Hi Chris & Zimmo,
How are you guys? Hope the colder months are treating you both well.
I just wanted say how much I enjoyed all the hell you guys put me through, and that I haven’t stopped training, infact I have started training in Arakan, a burmese martial art, and also boxing and other various cardio/core excercises.
I am actively training 1.5 hours every second day, so 4 times a week… then 3 times every second week, and so on…
What you guys taught me, in the little time we shared, was invaluable and has set me on the right path to enjoying my life in ways I had always dreamed of but never felt I could attain.
For you guys it is probably a matter of fact getting up in the morning not having breathing problems or other issues to do with asthma or generally being unfit and unhealthy, but for me this was a daily occurance for over two decades.
The real value I found in the time I had with you guys was the obvious kowledge and understanding of body mechanics, health and nutrition (among other things) that you shared with me, without which I probably would still be sitting on my couch wondering what my life COULD have been.
This new found understanding is what drives me to better myself, not just in fitness and nutrition, but in all parts of my life, and what has enabled me to earn a new and real form of self respect.
Maybe one day you will see me out there training someone myself, giving them the confidence to face mortality with a new found sense of freedom, throwing away the shackles of self doubt and apathy. <<- I laughed at that sentence too…
Once again, thanks for showing me the light.
Thanks to Chris and the Chisel Fitness team – in last week’s 5 km race at Sanctuary Cove I smashed my previous best time by 6 minutes! I’m so thrilled with my time and it’s all due to your encouragement, training and one-on-one help.
