For the past couple of months, Chisel Fitness has been helping two men who are preparing for a massive challenge, and in doing so are attempting to set 3 world records!
Geoff Wilson and Garth Freeman are preparing to complete the 1st trans-Saharan crossing attempted by wind power alone. It will also be the longest kite buggy journey ever attempted, 2,500km crossing the borders of Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, ending in Dakar, Senegal, and in doing so they will also set the world record for the largest distance travelled by kite buggy in one day.
Adventure for a good cause!
They are calling their adventure Mad Way South and are using the trip as a platform to launch a fundraising and awareness campaign for the plight of women and children who have been forced into commercial sexual exploitation in Cambodia.
Their own trip is FULLY SELF FUNDED, meaning that all the money they can raise will go directly to the girls in need via support of the She Rescue Home in Cambodia.
Chisel Fitness will be bringing you updates on the boys’ progress as they take on this mammoth task, and encourage all readers to check out their website and make a donation towards their worthy cause.
Cheers,
Chris van Hoof
